The Official Launch of the Ikon Awards- 26th May 2006

Years of making music that people love and respect. Days and months filled with inspiration and toil. Hours spent weaving words and song to life. This is the life of the true Icon.

Those years have not gone to waste. For the first time in Malaysia, our icons will be honoured in the public eye via the Ikon Awards. The Ikon Awards will be held annually from next year onwards to honour Malaysian icons of various achievements.

In conjunction with the official launch of the Ikon Awards, two such icons of the Malaysian music industry, namely M.Nasir and Ramli Sarip will be given lifetime achievement awards. The two, who are also nominees for the upcoming Ikon Awards, will also be performing live the same night. The opening act? None other than the sassy and bubbly Dina of Malaysian Idol fame!

The Official Launch of the Ikon Awards will be held on the 26th of May 2006 at 8.30pm at the Menara KL. Tickets to the launch/live performance are priced as follows: RM 150 (VIP seating), RM 100 (seated) and RM 50 (free standing).
