Nasir captivated thousands at Axiata Arena last night, treating fans to more than three hours of back-to-back nostalgic hits.
The Dato’ M.N46ir Cipta 3 concert saw the maestro take centre stage to deliver some of Malaysia’s most iconic rock songs, either created or co-produced by him.
This included tracks and medleys made famous by legendary local rockers such as Search, Wings and Datuk Hattan, who all benefited from M. Nasir’s creative touch on classics like Isi Atau Kulit, Opera Hidup and Mahligai Syahdu.
The 68-year-old also performed some of his own hits including Srikandi Cintaku and Kau Ratnaku, along with evergreen favourites from his Kembara days such as Hati Emas, Gerhana and Duit.
Speaking to local media, M. Nasir, who delivered an almost non-stop performance, said he was grateful to still be able to perform on such a large scale at his age.

He revealed that about 40 songs were prepared for the concert, but around 10 had to be dropped due to time constraints.
Even so, the Cipta 3 concert, themed Malam Ini Gua Rock (Tonight, I’m Rock), had fans singing along to every word and rocking out to refreshed arrangements and styles.
One of the most notable moments was the closing number, where M. Nasir performed Search’s Pawana in a semi-dangdut rhythm.
He was also joined by several legendary musicians including Eddie from Slam on keyboards and Ujang from Exists on drums. Traditional instruments such as the gambus and flute — staples at almost every M. Nasir show — also added to the night’s flavour.
Among the fans was 35-year-old Mohd Fairuz from Batu Pahat, Johor, who was in awe of M. Nasir’s showmanship.
“This is actually my first time catching him live and of course I am excited — the concert exceeded my expectations!
“The energy he brought on stage — he performed for two hours straight without any breaks, which is even more amazing considering his age now,” Fairuz told Malay Mail.
Also in the crowd was 54-year-old Mohd Fitri, who travelled from Johor with his wife and daughter to show support for the artiste he credits with shaping Malaysia’s rock and roll scene.
“I’ve been listening to him since his early Pasar Seni busking days and I used to attend some of his shows at shopping malls, especially during new album launches.
“It’s not just about his vocals or performances — almost all the music he touched became hits that transcended generations, and even the younger crowd still knows him today.
“That’s why I think it’s important for us to support legends like him, so that his music continues to live on. Who knows, we might not get to see artistes like him again in the future,” Fitri said.

Fans like Fitri and Fairuz will not have to wait long for more. According to Icon Entertainment head Iman Tang, who organised the concert, there are plans for several more Cipta shows.
Iman said the Cipta series began last year to mark M. Nasir’s 45th anniversary, with the goal of continuing until his 50th, which will be the biggest and final instalment.
However, he stressed the importance of keeping each concert fresh.
“I don’t want to do just another concert where we announce a press conference, coupled with some photoshoots. That’s not my style.
“The concept of the show is really important to me,” Iman said.
He added that future instalments could include special themes such as an OST night or even a dangdut night.
Since August last year, M. Nasir has performed four Cipta concerts: Dato’ M.N45ir Cipta (Aug 10), Dato’ M.N45ir Cipta 2 (Oct 12), Dato’ M.N46sir Cipta Raya (Apr 13) and the latest Dato’ M.N46sir Cipta 3.
